Manchester Fashion Network will run a workshop for fashion retailers and brands later this month to help them to develop brand awareness.
The event will be chaired by Amanda Burrows and Rafael Gilston, founders of brand consultancy Geek, who will cover topics including building your brand, brand versus product, getting results and brand focus.
Burrows has more than 20 years’ experience in retail and was formerly managing director of footwear chain Shoe Studio Group, where she repositioned the business for sale. She has also worked as brand director of womenswear chain Whistles and head of buying at department store group House of Fraser. She now advises buying, merchandising and design teams on product development and retail strategy.
Gilston has worked in strategic brand development for more than 15 years with brand consultancies and design agencies including Imagination, Virgile & Stone, and Yellowdoor. He has led global brand strategy for luxury brands including Mulberry.
