Mango sales soar 11% in 2010

Spanish fashion chain Mango said sales rose 11% in 2010 and is looking to expand further overseas.

In its 2010 financial year retail sales soared to €1.59bn (£1.41bn). International sales, including the UK, accounted for 81% of its sales.

Mango will open 380 stores in the coming year, 373 of which will open in overseas markets.

The fashion chain is targeting growth in China, Russia and Europe to drive growth in its current year and will open more stores in the UK.

Online sales soared 80% to €21m (£18.7m). The retailer will continue its web expansion with further international sites launching as it aims to double online turnover this year.
