Monsoon reclaims its Indian heritage

Monsoon is returning to its Indian-inspired roots with a major store overhaul aimed at re-engaging with its core customer.

Starting with the refit of its flagship store in London’s Oxford Street, which reopened last week, the womenswear chain will roll out the new look to all 133 UK stores. A selection of new product is also being added to reflect its heritage, and the retailer’s logo has been refreshed to give it a more contemporary feel.

Design and buying director Shailina Parti said Monsoon had “lost its personality in recent years” and the revamp was designed to help it “get back to its heritage”.

Monsoon confirmed its London Marble Arch store would be the next to be refitted.
