Michael Hitchcock, finance director of Moss Bros, has stepped down from his role at the high street menswear chain.
Moss Bros said in a statement that Hitchcock, who joined the company in 2006, would leave the business on April 30 to seek new corporate challenges.
Moss Bros added that Hitchcock had provided financial stability for the business through particularly challenging times, including a formal bid for the business from the now defunct investment group Baugur and through the recent retail downturn.
Moss Bros said it had appointed headhunters to fill Hitchcock’s position.
Moss Bros chief executive Brian Brick said: “I am personally grateful to Michael for the help and assistance given to me in my first year and on behalf of the board would like to wish Michael every success in his future career.”
