M&S design chief Helen Low returns to Asda

Marks & Spencer buying and design director Helen Low is joining Asda as general manager for design at George, according to reports.

Low will return to George at Asda in October after eight years with M&S, where she oversaw the Per Una and Limited Collection brands.

According to Retail Week, Low will report to Fiona Lambert, brand director of George at Asda, and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Leicestershire.

Earlier this week, M&S announced that Carole Boyes-Weston will replace Low. The design veteran joins from womenswear wholesaler High Fashion UK.

George chief merchandising officer Andrew Moore said the company has embarked upon a strategy to “dial up our fashion credentials”.
