Monsoon has begun the roll-out of a new logo as part of a revamp of the womenswear chain’s branding.
The new logo features white writing in block capitals on a bronze background, whereas the previous fascia featured white, lower-case loopy writing on a purple background.
It has been installed at three stores so far, at London’s St Pancras International railway station, James Street in London’s Covent Garden and Cardiff.
According to a spokeswoman for the Monsoon Accessorize group, which also includes accessories chain Accessorize, the new branding will be rolled out to all Monsoon stores as and when they are refurbished.
It is understood a similar look will be launched for Accessorize.
There are 133 Monsoon stores, 152 Accessorize stores and 114 dual-site stores in the UK.
It is unclear how long the roll-out will take and the retailer declined to comment on the refurbishment plans.
Monsoon Accessorize, which was founded in 1972 and taken private in 2007, reported an eight-fold increase in profits in the year to August 29, 2009. Pre-tax profits jumped from £3.9m to £32.9m during the period.
