The deadline for applications to win scholarships to the Oxford Retail Masters Forum has been extended to Thursday January 28.
Anyone who has worked in the retail industry for at least seven years now has longer to apply for one of seven scholarships, worth nearly £2,000 each, to attend the four-day residential course at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, from March 22 to 25.
The course, run by the British Shops and Stores Association (BSSA), allows attendees to hear from leaders in the retail industry during lectures and seminars and to participate in workshops to develop their retail knowledge and skills. Speakers for this March’s course will include retail entrepreneur Theo Paphitis.
Skillsmart Retail’s chief executive Anne Seaman said: “Due to the recent bad weather which has affected so many retail businesses across the country, we are giving applicants a further week to get on to one of the best training courses in the country.”
The organisers are particularly encouraging applications from senior managers, regional managers and store managers, who can download application forms at www.skillsmartretail.com
