Sainsbury’s unveils biggest ever Back to School range

Sainsbury’s has launched its biggest ever Back to School range as it aims for record year-on-year growth in the category.

The latest range offers 12 Back TU School products - so called because Sainsbury’s clothing range is called TU - all for £2 each, including polo shirts, jumpers, trousers and cardigans. There are more than 50 products in the range, making it Sainsbury’s biggest to date.

Sainsbury’s is the eighth largest schoolwear retailer by volume, and has the fastest growing range on the high street, according to Kantar data, with a volume market share of 3.1%.

Back TU School is sold in 429 stores. An entire school uniform costs £4.33.

  • Actually, the clothes are of good quality. My children attend private school and I buy quite a few items at Sainsbury's to complete their school uniform requirement. They have lasted longer than items purchase at Peter Jones.
