M&Co buying director Sim Scavazza is leaving the value retailer after just one year in the role.
Scavazza joined M&Co last October, in what was a surprising move due to her track record in young fashion and M&Co’s older target customer. At the time, M&Co said it did not signal a change in strategy.
It is understood that Scavazza, who has held buying roles at River Island and Miss Selfridge and at ethical retailer Adili, will spend some time with her family before looking for another role. A replacement has yet to be announced.
M&Co’s profits rose to £11.5m in the financial year to February 25, compared with £10.4m in the previous year. The retailer has approximately 300 stores, in which it sells womenswear, menswear and kidswear.
