Selfridges appoints menswear buying manager

Department store group Selfridges has appointed Adam Kelly as buying manager menswear to replace Toby Bateman, who left the business last month.

Kelly’s new role is an internal promotion. He has been at Selfridges for 18 months working as a buyer for various different categories within the menswear division.

Bateman left Selfridges to head up the buying division of luxury etailer Net-a-Porter’s new menswear site Mr Porter, which is due to go live in January.

Bateman has had 15 years of experience in the menswear market and will join Mr Porter this autumn.
