Selfridges is to embark on a 12 hour “jean-a-thon” on Twitter today, as part of a promotion of the department store’s denim offering among its 96,000 followers.
Every hour the department store will announce denim giveaways, host Twitter take-overs and provide styling advice via its @Selfridges Twitter account.
The jean-a-thon will kick off at 10am with Selfridges scouring its stores for the best dressed shoppers wearing denim. An hour later it will count down its top denim icons.
At 12pm a Nudie jeans expert will host a Twitter takeover answer denim questions. From 2pm to 3pm the department store is offering Twitter followers the chance to come into its stores and win products.
Later on in the afternoon Selfridges will announce two Twitter competitions from Denham and PRPS, while from 6pm to 9pm the retailer will announce a new competition every hour.
