Uniqlo calls on shoppers to return errant sheep

Japanese fashion fashion chain Uniqlo has lost a sheep and is calling on shoppers to find it as part of a campaign to mark the launch of its 100% Merino sweater.

The errant animal is reported to be gallivanting around London sending out regular tweets to tease the flock he has left behind and has even hinted he might head of the city if the weather is good.

From September 1, Uniqlo will post pictures of the stray sheep around London and at selected spots in the UK to encourage eagle-eyed consumers to track it down, take a picture and post on Twitter before the end of the day with the hashtag #haveyouseenoursheep. The winner will receive a merino sweater of their choice.

The Merino collection, which is available in 18 colours, been crafted using 100% extra-fine Merino, paying minute attention to detail to the shape, silhouette, colour and feel.

Meanwhile, the retailer has also announced actor Jamie Campbell Bower, recently seen in Channel 4’s Camelot, and model Leah Weller, daughter of musician Paul Weller and singer Dee C. Lee, as its new UK ambassadors.
