Urban Outfitters expands in Europe

US high street fashion retailer Urban Outfitters is set to open nine new stores in Europe and the UK, it has been reported.

The new stores, scheduled to open in autumn, include a 6,443-square-foot location in Exeter, a 12,512-square-foot shop in Frankfurt to open September 2, and a 5,737-square-foot shop in Brussels on September 30.

In 2012, the company will add further locations in Berlin and five other UK stores in Guildford, Southampton, Newcastle, Nottingham and Norwich respectively.

This marks the latest step in Urban Outfitters’ expansion. More recently in 2010 it launched e-tail in German and French Markets.
