Urban Outfitters to open doors on 38th store

US lifestyle retailer Urban Outfitters is primed to open its 38th European store after taking a unit in the Victoria Centre in Nottingham.

The 14,500 sq ft store, which is scheduled to open in time for Christmas, will be Urban Outfitters first venture into the East Midlands region.

This latest deal comes after owners Intu recently announced plans to invest £35m in the Victoria Centre.

Martin Breeden, asset management director at Intu, said: “This, coming on top of our comprehensive refurbishment plans, the Victoria Centre is making excellent progress. This deal is great for our shoppers and really enhances the young urban fashion mix within Nottingham.”
