USC is given the boot by Ugg Australia

Young fashion chain USC is the latest retailer to be cut from Ugg Australia’s distribution, as part of the footwear brand’s repositioning.

Earlier this month, Drapers revealed Ugg was ending its relationship with etailers Asos and, indie Aspecto and retailer Footasylum from autumn 12, as it repositions as a more premium label.

USC will be unable to order from the autumn 12 collection onwards.

Ugg declined to comment but reiterated a previous statement issued by owner Deckers. In this, Michael Benjamin, head of sales for Ugg Australia UK, said: “The Ugg Australia brand experience is an important factor in our relationship with our consumer and it’s our duty to ensure our distribution channels are fully aligned with both their expectations and our brand vision.”

USC was unavailable for comment.
