Marks & Spencer will launch its spring advertising campaign featuring its first menswear-only TV ad and the launch of an ‘Only at Your M&S’ strapline tomorrow.
The M&S campaign is designed to highlight “innovative fashion products that boast unique and exclusive features only available at Marks & Spencer” and will comprise press, outdoor and online elements as well as a 50-second TV ad that will air on ITV1 during Coronation Street.
The ‘Innovation’ ads will focus on lines such as Stormwear suits for men, which repel water, and Autograph Insolia heels for women, which are designed to alleviate the pain associated with wearing high-heeled shoes.
Football pundit Jamie Redknapp will star in the menswear TV ad.
The retailer’s usual roster of models, including Twiggy and Ana Beatriz Barros, will also feature in the showpiece 50-second womenswear ad which will showcase nautical, 1950s and 1970s trends.
Marks & Spencer marketing director Steven Sharp said: “We are extremely excited to be showcasing our fashion innovations for the first time on TV.”
He added: “These products are unique to M&S and really encapsulate the meaning of the line ‘Only at Your M&S.”
