Xavia jerseywear acquired by SFS

Tesco and Primark supplier Simon Foster Sourcing (SFS) has snapped up London-based jerseywear supplier Xavia Fashions.

It is the first in a number of planned acquisitions by SFS as it aims to grow into a worldwide supplier of major retailers.

SFS acquired Xavia Fashions earlier this month for an undisclosed sum to gain a foothold in the jerseywear supply market. The group will now be able to offer jersey alongside knitwear, denim and casual wovens.

According to SFS director Simon Foster, Xavia Fashions was an attractive proposition because the two companies share a similar customer base.

Foster told Drapers: “We plan to use Xavia as the group’s jerseywear platform for both our UK and European customers.”

He added: “We have been seeking the acquisition of a company within the field of jerseywear and casual wovens and we look forward to integrating Xavia Fashions into our team and developing all areas of the global supply brand.”
