A multitude of trends targets Bournemouth’s most fashion-aware youngsters
New Look has bought heavily into denim looks for spring, from indigo jeggings to stonewashed oversized shirts, alongside mini and midi floral prints, tailored harem trousers and plaid shirts. Basics flank the trend-led product, while some of the best young fashion outerwear options include floral-lined trenches. The Giles Deacon tie-up is nowhere to be seen though.
The windows for this corner store suggest New Look is serious about its trends - sections dedicated to nautical, Balmain-inspired rock chick utility and denim clearly target trend-hungry young women; even tricky double denim looks are showcased. The busy store is filled with groups of loud teenagers and pairs of young mums. Despite this, staff maintain a clean, well-ordered shop.
As ever, the prices are highly competitive at New Look, with floral-print dresses coming in at £22 and a jersey animal-print maxi dress is good at the same price. A red and white-striped T-shirt with jewel-encrusted shoulders is a steal at £20, while a pale denim shirt is a mere £25, compared to most of the other young retailers who have gone in at more than £30. Balmain-inspired military jackets in cotton are also a very reasonable £30.
