Oasis, Unit SU60, George White Street, Cabot Circus

Oasis ticks off all of this season’s trends but a mid-season Sale detracts from the offer.

Looks 8

Oasis delivers a strong, all-round offer for autumn 10 featuring camel dresses, tops and coats, leopard-print knits and dresses and a good range of outerwear, including leather and aviator jackets and military, faux fur and bright red duffle coats. Lace panelling is seen on dresses and separates, while a good trouser offer is also on display.

Experience 6

It’s a shame Oasis’s mid-season Sale sign on its window hides one of this season’s key trends - leopard print - seen on one of its mannequins. Once inside, Drapers was shown to the biggest of the changing rooms, which is spacious and tidy. The Sale to the right of the store as soon as customers enter takes attention away from a strong full-price collection.

Value 7

Quality is high on Oasis’s agenda. A black lace dress is given extra oomph with a camel lining at £60, angora-mix knits come in at £40 and wool-mix coats start at about £80. Maxi dresses are a competitive £45, while leather and aviator jackets look good at £150 each. Basic knits start from £30, while simple jersey dresses are £45, going up to about £55 for a chunky-knit version. Oasis offers a wide-ranging pricing architecture to suit a variety of budgets.
