Great service, but it needs to be in this confusing market.
Do you want a checked or a striped shirt? What shade? Pink, blue, grey, black, white - you name it, it’s here and so are options on fit - slim being the best block for a fashion moment. The most directional shirts come in paisley prints under the John Francomb sub-brand but suits take TM Lewin squarely back into classics territory and are 2sb-focused. Coats are here but there is no fashion to speak of - just a beige rain mac and grey classic overcoat.
TM Lewin is to menswear what Ikea is to homeware. Look and ye shall find, but you have to look quite hard to figure out just where your size and desired style is. Also, items aren’t priced individually, which can be frustrating. Fortunately, if you’re a serious shopper, the staff are exceptional at delivering just what you need - tape measure at the ready. The quaint gentlemen’s outfitter feel of this shop screams quality. Moss and co should take note.
No retailer in the menswear market does price promotions quite so cleverly or discreetly. Virtually everything on sale is discounted, playing to any WAG’s love of a bargain. Suits start at £179.10 and go up to £249 for a merino wool version - well above M&S. Half of the suits are above £200. Coats are better value though, purportedly being marked down from £300 to £150 for a wool overcoat. Shirts are worth the four for £100 bulk buy deal.
