An enviable product offering at good prices, only let down by a haphazard basement floor.
As expected, Topshop covers all of this season’s trends and does so with considerable flair. Within seconds of walking into the store, Drapers spots leather shorts, a lace shift dress, a faux-fur swing coat and a sea of leopard print. Autumn’s camel coat is also on display, as is a good selection of trousers, from drop-crotch to rolled-up, tapered styles. Shearling is also in abundance on gilets and collars. Outerwear and knitwear are strong, while the depth of the denim offer is impressive.
Good segmentation, both of trends and product categories, makes for an easy shopping experience on the ground floor, while models expertly demonstrate on-trend outfits. But the basement is somewhat haphazard; what appears to be a tailoring offer with belted shift dresses, also features leather gilets and lace leggings. Tall and petite sizes are also downstairs.
A lace dress is good value at £40, as are rolled-up camel trousers at £42 and jeans, which range from about £36 to £40. Outerwear is well priced, with the camel coat at £85. Leather shorts are a touch expensive at £68.
