In our store, Barker Shoes brogues (£220) are very popular, and are known for their comfort and style. Ted Baker shoes (£80-£175) and smart leather loafers from Romus (£90) have also become bestsellers this winter. They’re known for their style, colours and being the perfect smart shoe for a night out. Business this autumn has been slow, but we are seeing some improvements as we approach the busier winter months.

We have a wide range of contemporary footwear, mainly casual styles. This season, Nike trainers (from £90) are a constant top seller for us. Customers are drawn to the brand’s name and reputation – the Nike swoosh attracts them. Similarly, Adidas (from £80) and Puma (£70) are the other bestselling brands for us. Their range of casual shoes for everyday wear and sportswear trainers are varied and often popular as the brand is endorsed by celebrities. The popularity of our footwear is down to these brands having great marketing and hardly any competition. Trade for us as a store is going very well and we are happy to announce we are in our 50th year of trading.
Mo Elkhiyari Sales assistant at Curated Man in Richmond
Zespa casual trainers (£130) sell really well for us – the simple, plain designs attract customers as they can be paired with anything. Spring Court (£130) and Timberland shoes (from £80) are very popular for us, especially coming up to the winter months. Our store is independent and we sell footwear that suits a different style of man, who likes simplicity, design and quality. Trade for us fluctuates but is steady at the moment.

There are a few bestselling brands for us this autumn. Skechers (£60) is a good seller for us, known for its brand name, good price and comfort. Smart shoes from Rieker (£50) and Hush Puppies (£50) are popular, too. Men tend to stick to what they know and go for familiar styles and brands. Business has been very good for us and we are expecting an even better winter season.

This season we have seen an increase in sales of Hush Puppies (£70-£80), which are known for their great quality. Superga (£50) and Dr Martens (£100-£110) shoes have been flying off the shelves recently. Their popularity comes from a strong brand name and the variety of styles available. We have regular customers who come back for these shoes specifically and they’re known to last a long time. Business for us has been very good and steady.
