Michele trousers

Eugen Klein jackets (£199) are selling really well at the minute as they come in some nice, bright colours. Michele trousers (£129) are also doing really well – they are always a good seller for us. Gollehaug is also doing really well right now. It’s quite a varied brand and they have lots of good pieces. The soft jackets (£109.95) and knitwear (£79.95-£99.95) are selling quickly now that the seasons are changing.

Marc Cain is doing really well for us and so is Marc Cain Sport. There are so many pieces that are performing well, but the little leather jackets (£600-£1,000) are selling fast, as well as the down-filled outer jackets (£389-£600). They come in different colours and always do really well. The entire range from Luisa Cerano (£129-£959) also sells well – customers buy full outfits rather than just individual pieces. Joseph Ribkoff dresses (£215-£380) are popular right now. It’s really upped its game recently, with some younger-looking pieces and great holiday outfits. We’re always excited for the new season and new stock, and we love to see our customers excited.

Denise Coyle Owner of Barbara’s of Standish, Lancashire

Lebek outerwear is a big seller at the moment, especially the padded jackets (£219-£239). Customers have been coming in early to get them, as we sold them very quickly last year. Olsen knitwear (£75) has also been doing very well as the seasons change and the weather gets colder. Marble knitwear (£50) has been selling fast – the first delivery we got included a lot of pale blues and pale pinks, and people loved the delicate hues. I love the colours that we have in at the moment, but next season I want to get more bright ones.

Cindy Mariff Owner of Cindy’s in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire

Marble knitted tunic dresses and sweaters (£40-£50) are doing really well at the moment, as are Robell trousers (£36.99). Rabe is selling well too, as there is lots of lovely casual daywear. The gilets (£89) and trousers (£99) are bestsellers. This season is all about colour and I think that’s what the customers want. We have had our autumn stock in for quite some time now and it’s going really well.

Menswear

Andrew Hannan Owner of Clarksons of York in Petergate, Yorkshire

Brook Taverner tweed jackets (£179-£249) are good sellers, as the colours are fabulous and they’re very versatile – they go with both trousers and denim. Gurteen trousers, such as cords and moleskins (£69-£79), are also doing really well now the weather is changing. Everything for autumn/winter is looking very positive, and we’re really looking forward to another great season.

Katie Kelly Sales assistant at Gerard Anthony in Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland

Tommy Hilfiger jeans, particularly the Ryan straight and bootcut jeans (£90), are always good sellers – they are classics and jeans are always in. When people find a good pair of jeans, they don’t tend to change them. Bugatti casual jackets (£89-£307) also sell really well. Casamoda jumpers (£80) are selling fast at the moment as the weather gets colder, as are the casual shirts (£50-£59). We are really excited for all the new stock this season and new selling points, and potentially even new brands.

Paul and shark look 39

Paul & Shark

John Robbins Owner of Mewes in Sunningdale, Berkshire

Shirts are our best sellers at the moment, especially ones with colourful trims. Eton shirts (£100-£170), Gant shirts (£85) and Paul & Shark shirts (£145) are all doing really well for us at the moment. We have got lots of nice new stock for autumn, and we’re looking forward to what will hopefully be another good season.

Martin Jones Owner of Vaughan Davies in Mold, Flintshire

Barbour is a brand that always does well for us. As the weather has got colder and wetter, the classic waxed jackets (£229) have been selling quickly. Meyer have also brought out some winter cotton trousers (£95) which are selling well. There has been a lot of interest in suits from Atelier Torino (£325-£395) recently, as they have got the sizing just right. They have room to breathe in the chest, but the trousers are a slim fit. I’m excited for what is coming through for the new season – there are beautiful products coming in by the boxload.
