Find out what’s selling now in the world of young fashion.

Edwin is a popular brand for us at the moment – its denim items sell really well. The brand has a range of slim-fitting to loose-fitting jeans (£100-£140) that are really nice. Universal Works is another brand that is currently selling well. It has a wide range of items and a very in-depth catalogue, but in our store it is the jackets (£149) that sell the best. The trainers from Saucony (from £70) do well too. It’s a nice, clean, minimalist brand. Business has been doing really well. We moved from our location in the Great Western Arcade to a new development where we have been for a year now, and we are still getting new shoppers and continuing to grow our customer base, which is great.

Orlebar Brown swim shorts (£115-£225) are definitely selling well at the moment, and its linen shirts are proving popular too (£150-£175). A lot of people, who are going on holiday, seem to be buying the brand. Customers like it, because it is a designer brand with a personal feel. Our Stone Island range is also very popular, especially the T-shirts (£90). Jacob Cohen jeans (£395) have also done very well over the past couple of seasons. Once upon a time, no one would pay more than £300 for some jeans, but they are great quality and we’ve even had customers buy three pairs at a time. Business has been tough due to the bad weather we had earlier in the year, but overall, we’re up on last year, so we can’t complain. We’re currently having a very healthy summer.
Jack Hernandez Buyer at Lynx in Harrogate
Jeans from Jacob Cohen are currently selling very well (£325), as are the swim shorts from Orlebar Brown (£125). Bomber jackets from Matchless (£229) are proving to be popular too. Business has been doing well, and we have just had two solid weeks of very good weather up here, which really helped to boost our sales.
Keiron Clarke Co-director of Ashes Menswear in Bournemouth
Jeans from Scotch & Soda have been selling well (£99-£120). They are a good fit, and the colours are nice too. The long-sleeved shirts from Guide London (£60-£90) are doing well too, as are the blazers from Gibson London (£179). It’s currently wedding season, which is why these sorts of products have been popular. Only this morning did I have a customer spend about £500 on shoes, shirts and a belt for a wedding he’s attending. Business has been extremely challenging recently, but we are still slightly up on last year. The high street is just dead at the moment with the internet, rent and taxes making it difficult for businesses to thrive. Luckily for us, we set up in 1975 and have 4,000 regulars, and are thus well established.

The jeans from Diesel (from £100) are selling well at the moment and the jeans from 7 For All Mankind (from £170) are quite popular too. Desigual is another brand that always seems to do well. Their bags (from £50) and dresses (£100) do the best – they are quite colourful and summery and so they suit the season well. Business hasn’t been great, it’s been very quiet. The competition from the internet isn’t helping, and the weather over the past few months has been very changeable.
Marc Maubeck Owner and manager of HS2 in Guernsey
Nicce is a fairly new brand that we have in store and customers have reacted very well to it. It does streetwear, and its T-shirts (£20-£30) and hoodies (£45-£60) have sold the best. We have a few little dresses from Ichi (£50) in at the moment that have been quite popular too. Glamorous is another brand which is performing well, because it has some nice playsuits (£20-£50). Business-wise, we were slightly down on last year for April, but in May we did well. The weather has been nice recently, so hopefully we can continue to do well throughout the summer.
Kelly Whitlock Manager of Ruby Room in Leigh-on-Sea
Everyone seems to be going for that festival look recently, so the tea dresses from Glamorous (£28) have done quite well because of that. Parisian Clothing has been popular too: its co-ord sets have probably sold the best (£28-£40). A slightly dressier brand called Girl in Mind has done well recently too – it has a lovely maxi skirt with a slit up the leg (£38). We have been quite lucky recently that business has been good. It was hard at the beginning of the year with the weather, but since then, things have picked up a lot.
