Rihanna fashion show to hit screens this month

A TV series in which Rihanna and a host of top designers uncover Britain’s hottest new fashion talent will debut on Sky Living on August 14.

The 10-part series Styled to Rock, which was produced by singer Rihanna, features a panel of mentors including British designer Henry Holland, Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts and stylist Lysa Cooper who will search for the next generation of Britain’s most promising fashion designers.

Over the 10-part series, 12 unknown designers selected by Rihanna are challenged by the mentors to create outfits for a string of A-list music artists to wear.

Each week, a guest music star will set the designers their challenge – to create and design a bespoke stage outfit for them to wear at a variety of important occasions, including live performances, shoots and high-profile events. The guest artist will then choose their winning outfit.

The final challenge for the winner will be to design a unique stage outfit for Rihanna to wear at her biggest London live gig later on this year.

The series begins on Sky Living on August 14 at 9pm.

Rihanna’s own fashion credentials are also being put to the test with a capsuale collection for River Island. Her “street to chic” influenced range will be available for spring 13.
