Robert Polet to leave Gucci group

Gucci Group chief executive officer and president Robert Polet is to step down from his role.

Polet, who has been with the company since 2004, will leave his position on March 1 and the role will not be filled.

Polet joined Gucci Group from Unilever’s ice cream and frozen foods division and during his time at the luxury fashion house has worked with brands such as Gucci, Stella McCartney and Bottega Veneta.

Last year Gucci Group shut its offices on London’s Grafton Street and Polet moved to work in the group’s offices in Cadempino, Switzerland.
