Footwear chain Russell & Bromley has launched its first transactional ecommerce site, just in time to capitalise on the key Christmas trading period.
The site, which went live last week, uses ecommerce platform provider Venda and replaces the retailer’s previous non-transactional website.
Russell & Bromley said the decision to switch to a transactional website was based on customer demand.
“Our goal is for the online part of the business to become our best-selling store,” said Brendan Regan, head of marketing at Russell & Bromley.
“Ecommerce gives us a valuable opportunity to develop our customer contact. The data-gathering opportunity that the Venda platform presents means that we’ll be able to tailor our products and retail experience to drive sales.”
Russell & Bromley has 45 stores nationwide and sells a range of men’s, women’s and kid’s footwear.
