Sainsbury's group development director Luke Jensen quits

Sainsbury’s group development director Luke Jensen – credited as the driving force behind the supermarket’s long-running collaboration with stylist Gok Wan - has left after six years.

Jensen, who sat on Sainsbury’s operating board, stood down last week, according to Drapers’ sister publication Retail Week.

It is understood Jensen is considering his next move. Sainsbury’s has not named a direct replacement but is likely to “in due course”.

Over the course of his time at Sainsbury’s Jensen held roles including strategy director and managing director of non-food.

Outgoing Sainsbury’s chief executive Justin King – who is due to step down in July - thanked Jensen for his “significant contribution” to the business.
