Selfridges promotes Judd Crane to new directorship role

Selfridges has promoted its director of womenswear Judd Crane to the newly-created role of director of womenswear and accessories.

Crane joined Selfridges in February 2012 from Hong Kong-based department store Lane Crawford and played a major role in the creation of the Denim Studio last summer.

His promotion is effective immediately.

Crane rises up as Jayne Demuro is promoted from director of beauty to director of beauty and home. She has been with Selfridges for more than 10 years.

Both roles take on parts of other positions that have shifted following the departure of David Walker-Smith, who was Selfridges’ buying director of menswear, beauty, home and leisure until he left for Fenwick in early 2013.

Sebastian Manes, who was buying director of womenswear, accessories and childrenswear, was promoted to buying and merchandising director shortly afterwards.
