Although I’ve lived in north London for the past three years, when asked to name my favourite independent fashion store, Siena in my former neighbourhood of Wandsworth Common in south-west London springs to mind.
Siena caters for the local catchment of affluent women, with a constantly changing mix of brands, ensuring there is always something new. Service is efficient and friendly, but not overbearing.
Revisiting after three years I was pleased to see the store still carried its attractive selection of brands merchandised in capsule collections according to colour. However, the mix has been adapted in line with changing economic times. It is still a premium offer, but with plenty of affordable tops starting from £12.50.
Further up the road Siena has another store, Siena Additions, offering footwear and accessories. Both were busy, but it would probably make more economic sense to combine the two.
