Ted Baker has appointed Ron Stewart as independent non-executive director. Stewart was previously deputy managing director of corporate banking at the Royal Bank of Scotland before he retired in 2003.
Ron Stewart will be appointed chairman of the Audit Committee after an induction period at Ted Baker when he will take over from Robert Breare, who is also currently Ted Baker chairman, in the role. Breare will continue as a member of the Audit Committee.
Stewart will also be appointed to the Nomination Committee and the Remuneration Committee.
Ted Baker chairman Robert Breare said: “We are delighted that Ron Stewart is joining the Ted Baker board. His experience will be invaluable and we look forward to his contribution going forward.”
