The Convenience Store pops up

Premium independent The Convenience Store is to temporarily leave its current location at the foot of a west London high-rise to open a pop-up shop in the city’s St Martins Lane Hotel, from March 19-April 19.

The retailer will set up shop at the West End hotel for three weeks as part of a bid to evolve The Convenience Store’s retail format.

The Convenience Store owner Andrew Ibi said: “To continue its development we want the shop to move out of its local environment.”

The store, which sits at the foot of the iconic 31-storey Trellick Tower in Golborne Gardens in Kensal Town, sells an eclectic mix of established names including Gareth Pugh, Rick Owens, Ann-Sofie Back and Boudicca, alongside rising stars such as Clare Tough and Hannah Marshall.

Scott Williams, chief marketing officer of Morgans Hotel Group, which owns the St Martins Lane Hotel, said: “Collaborating with such smart and stylish brand partners keeps us fresh and relevant.”
