This was a strong collection from Tomas Maier for Bottega Veneta. The designer rediscovered the pantsuit and offset it with glamorously soft day dresses. Tailored double-breasted silhouettes had a don’t-mess-with-me appeal. They were in contrast to the soft touch of teddy-fur coats and softly draped or pleated sheer dresses - sometimes layered over skinny pants - easy shell tops and peg-top trousers, structured leather bodices or the gentle gathering of a paper-bag waist. Black anchored the palette but was lifted by red, green, damson and pink.
