UKFT shortlist announced

Ted Baker, the Cambridge Satchel Company and Orlebar Brown have all made the shortlist for the Natwest UK Fashion & Textile Awards 2013.

The awards, which take place at One Mayfair in London on May 23, celebrate fashion businesses and brands across the menswear, womenswear, textiles and accessories sectors.

The judging panel comprised industry experts including Maurice Mullen, head of fashion and luxury goods at the Evening Standard, Jessica Bumpus, fashion features editor at, and Terry Mansfield CBE, consultant at Hearst Corporation.

UKFT chief executive John Miln said: “The judges had an unenviable task as the entries this year were all exceptionally strong and very diverse in what they were bringing to the market and how they had been thriving in difficult times.

“The entries were inspiring and showed us all that the fashion and textile industry is world class and still leads the way not only creatively but also commercially.”
