UKFT showcases best of British manufacturing

The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) is celebrating the best in British manufacturing with a two-week-long showcase at the Department for Business Innovation and Skills in central London.

The showcase, which launched on Monday (October 1), features contributions from UKFT members including Johnstons of Elgin and Peregrine as well as input from the British Footwear Association (BFA) Designer-Manufacture Innovation Support Centre (DISC) and the British Fashion Council (BFC).

“This is a fantastic way for us to proudly show off what our industry can do right in the heart of London where tourists and government will be passing every day,” said UKFT chief executive John Miln.

“We are hugely thankful to our federated members and the BFA, BFC and DISC for helping us bring this fantastic installation together. Fashion often works best when in collaboration and this project is really testament to that.”
