The look:
Donatella Versace’s collections traditionally play to a woman’s best assets and autumn 09’s presentation was a veritable smorgasbord of flashing flesh. Liquid silk satins were slashed to the waist, cut high to the thigh or draped to reveal a flash of collarbone, while more structured fabrics were sliced and re-pinned, punk style. Surface texture included mermaid-like oversized paillette details and meshed insert panels, and colours centred around midnight blue, silver, copper and turquoise with pops of fuchsia.

Key pieces:
Alongside the super sexy, glossy dresses, sheeny cigarette pants tapered to the ankle and were paired with leather or suede black bomber jackets.
