Autumn 12

It came as no surprise that the Versace catwalk made the brashest and boldest statement in Milan, with fluorescent green, red and yellow fur-lined studded denim and quilted bomber jackets leading the way. Camouflage prints are definitely a trend to watch for autumn 12, as Versace used it all over, action-man style, but for the less flamboyant, subtle details will be the general rule of thumb with this trend. Vivid pops of bright colour sat alongside black, midnight blue and the occasional powder blue. In keeping with Milan’s dominating three-quarter length on coats, Versace opted for a more traditional silhouette, with military overcoats and hunting jackets enforcing a stricter regime than the label’s unruly studded biker jackets and sleeveless denim jackets. Watch out for the quilted leathers and camo influence on the high street.
