VF Licensed Sports Group appoints former Boxfresh sales director

VF Licensed Sports Group, part of VF Corporation, has appointed former Boxfresh sales director Mark Underwood to the role of managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Underwood replaces former EMEA managing director Gary Sheppherd who left the role earlier this year due to health reasons.

VF Licensed Sports Group markets branded sports clothing under agreements with licensors such as the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) and the National Hockey League (NHL), under the Majestic Athletic brand.

Underwood, who was sales director at Boxfresh for five years and prior to that Northern European sales manager at Fred Perry for seven years, will be based at VF Licensed Sports Group’s European HQ in London and is tasked with developing the lifestyle category and the Majestic Athletic brand within EMEA region.

“VF LSG is the leading American Sports licensing company in the sector,” said Underwood.

“I have a great team here in London and I am looking forward to building the lifestyle/fashion category within the business.”

VF Licensed Sports Group is part of the VF Corporation, the US-based owner of brands including Timberland, Vans, Wrangler and Lee.

Executive Search firm Fusion Associates facilitated Underwood’s appointment.
