Premium womenswear retailer LK Bennett has developed an emblem, which will be featured on all of its accessories, starting with its range of bags.
The accessories marque, created by design agency Spring & Mercer, was launched as a charm on LK Bennett’s range of bags yesterday and will be used across the retailer’s full range of accessories for spring 12 including swimwear and sunglasses from early next year.
According to Spring & Mercer creative director Jay Flaxman, the retailer wanted an emblem using the letters of its name that would be instantly recognisable on its accessories products.
“LK Bennett’s existing logo is recognisable but as it consists of the retailer’s full name it is too long to be branded on accessories. This marque will mean that all accessories from the retailer are easily identifiable,” said Flaxman.
The logo uses the L K and B from the retailer’s name merged together as well as an additional flower and heart emblem which will be used as a charm on the bags.
