Vintage dress brand Horrockses up for sale

Vintage womenswear brand Horrockses - a favourite of the Queen, Princess Margaret and Joan Collins - is up for sale.

Blair Nimmo and Gary Fraser of KPMG, joint administrators of Dawson International Holdings (UK) have asked Glasgow-based, intellectual property specialist Metis Partners to find a buyer for the brand.

Nat Baldwin of Metis Partners said: “This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a brand which is a foundation stone of Britain’s fashion and lifestyle heritage.

“Horrockses has been in existence for more than a century and its designs are associated with a timeless elegance and flair, which brought haute couture styling to aspirational buyers in the UK’s high streets.”

The brand was awarded a royal warrant in the 60s.
