Vivienne Westwood Red Label

The look:

St Trinians provided the inspiration for Britain’s flame-haired design maven as she sent deconstructed striped blazers, rosette adorned wrapover knitwear and a cloaked Jo Wood, cast as the headmistress, down her catwalk. Aside from the school girl references, Westwood drilled down into her personality to provide a set of directional yet wearable pieces which included draped cowl neck dresses in slate grey and puff shouldered speckled jackets which bubbled and hung cape-like at the back.

Key pieces:

Wood’s grey tartan waistcoat and wide leg trouser suit was spot on commercially while still being typically Westwood as a gold brocade bubble-hemmed dress offered an decorative evening option.
