Contemporary womenswear retailer Whistles is readying a “tightly edited” sub-brand called Limited Edition.
The range, which will launch in early September, will comprise 70 pieces with each piece being produced in limited editions of between 20 and 50 and spans contemporary day through to eveningwear as well as outerwear.
The outerwear offer includes coats and jackets, including a sheepskin-lined biker jacket while the eveningwear will offer consist of jacquard dresses, T-shirts and trousers.
The collection also offers cashmere tracksuits, leather leggings and silk-printed pyjama separates.
“We decided to stretch our creative wings this year and allow ourselves the luxury of designing a small and tightly edited collection of what we consider to be the most covetable pieces of the season,” says Jane Shepherdson, chief executive of Whistles.
“When we had created it, we realised we couldn’t do without it, and it became our Limited Edition.
“It will only be available in a few places - and only a small number of each piece will be made - but it is the epitome of what Whistles is all about; effortless luxury.”
The Limited Edition collection will be available in selected premium Whistles stores as well as online and in Whistles’ concessions in Harvey Nichols and Harrods.
