Whistles unveils spring 09 collection

Whistles has unveiled its spring 09 collection - its second collection under chief executive Jane Shepherdson.

Dresses continue to be a major focus for Whistles in easy, shift shapes with deep pockets and feminine tie-back sun dresses, while paired-down trousers and coats continue to define its new direction.

Navy, white and acid yellow are key colours. A soft linen mix double-breasted blazer is pulled out as a must-have piece.

Pegged trousers with a dropped waistband are complemented by a loose, single-button pale gold linen jacket.

Whistles chief executive Jane Shepherdson said: “The collection has evolved as we continue to define our identity. There is a much more relaxed feel to this season, which reflects our attitude to the way that we are dressing right now, but the distinctive prints will be a regular feature of all our collections.”

The spring 09 collection launches in store this month.
