Yves Saint Laurent to be renamed Saint Laurent Paris

French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent is to be renamed Saint Laurent Paris as part of a raft of changes expected to be introduced over the next few months by the brand’s creative director Hedi Slimane.

According to WWD Slimane, who was named as YSL’s creative director in February, will introduce the new branding in time for his spring 13 collection, his first for the brand.

Despite the name change, it is understood that the YSL logo will be retained although no further details were available.

Slimane, who took up the position of creative director in March having replaced former creative director Stefano Pilati, is also thought to be working on new store concepts for the brand.
